DHL famine heroes brave weather and hunger in 30-Hour Famine Camp

Over 80 DHL employees, families and friends successfully completed the World Vision 30-Hour Famine Camp, a 30-hour fasting mission, on 19 and 20 April, demonstrating the "All the Way" spirit despite adverse weather. Since 2000, DHL has been the initiative's main sponsor helping raise funds for world hunger.

Two DHL famine heroes were recognized among the top three funders out of 5,000 campers and DHL was ranked first across all corporations in terms of participants and honored as "The Most Dedicated Hero Organization" by the World Vision.

Earlier in February 2008, DHL sent three DHL Famine Ambassadors to Laos together with World Vision to experience first-hand the plight of those in hunger. Upon their return, ambassadors shared their experience with colleagues and the community, motivating others to join the "life-saving" league for world hunger
