To signify DHL's continuous commitment in Taiwan market, Jerry Hsu, President, Greater China Area, DHL Express Asia Pacific and Executive Vice President, Deutsche Post DHL (right) presented the air waybill banner to Chiu Cheng-Hsiun, Vice Premier of Executive Yuan, Republic of China at the official opening of the DHL Taipei Gateway in Taoyuan International Airport.

 

DHL inaugurates new Taipei Gateway

DHL opened its new Taipei Gateway at the Farglory Free Trade Zone, Taoyuan International Airport, on 24 April 2009. The NT$210 million investment will bring a significantly improved network to customers in Greater China, particularly Taiwan, enhancing connectivity with the international trade market.

With the expansion, shipment handling capacity has tripled, total footprint quadrupled and industry-leading features installed including Taiwan's only 24-hour Drop-Off Center and specialist surveying instruments.

DHL is firmly committed to helping customers achieve greater competitive advantage through the new gateway.

DHL senior executives and guests were joined by local and regional media at the official opening ceremony.
